What you'll discover
See yourself clearly
Understand the hidden mechanisms that drive your choices — without judgment, without self-deception.
Read your life narrative
Learn to identify the story you've been living — and whether it still belongs to you.
Understand the six elements
Life narrative, senses and perception, the external world, your body, behaviour and your circle of love: one map of how you work.
Recognise your stage
From Initiation to Mastery: know where you are and what the next step looks like.
Break unconscious patterns
Recognize the loops that keep you stuck and develop the awareness to step out of them deliberately.
Build a practice
Self-knowledge is not a destination. The book shows you how to make it a lived, ongoing practice.
A passage from the book
“Knowing yourself is a challenge that requires patience, perseverance and effort. It is not about running towards a fleeting goal, a goal that, paradoxically, moves further away as you advance, but about valuing and enjoying the journey.”
— Dr. Fernando Camacho-Ospina, Propiology
How the book is organised
First you learn how you work; then you take control.
Part I
Know yourself
The six elements of the model: life narrative, senses and perception, the external world, your body, behaviour and your circle of love. Each chapter opens with a real story.
Bridge
The five stages
Initiation, Learning, Practice, Proficiency and Mastery, with indicators to recognise where you are.
Part II
Take control
The four dimensions of action: take care of your body, redefine narratives, help and let yourself be helped, and create habits.
About the author

Dr. Fernando Camacho-Ospina
Dr. Fernando Camacho-Ospina is a Colombian-Australian researcher, engineer, and writer with a PhD in biomedical signal analysis from the University of New South Wales (Sydney) and a Master of Biomedical Engineering from the same institution. His career spans applied neuroscience, behavioral modeling, data science, and education analytics. He spent years living from a narrative that wasn't his own — successful by external standards, but disconnected from his inner life. The Propiology framework emerged from that personal process: the need to understand, with rigor and honesty, the mechanisms that govern us without our knowing.
