The Framework

Core Concepts

Propiology is built on a coherent set of ideas that explain how you came to be who you are — and how you can change. These are not abstract theories; they are maps of the territory you have been living in all along.

01

What Is Propiology

The study of oneself

Propiology (from Latin propius, "of oneself," and Greek lógos, "study") is a rigorous framework for self-knowledge. It gives you the tools to understand the hidden mechanisms driving your behavior, so you can act with greater freedom and intention.

Life Narrative

The story you live by

Your life narrative is the story you tell yourself about who you are — the framework through which you interpret every experience. Most of it was built before you were aware of it. Understanding it is the first step to rewriting it.

03

The six elements

The model

Your behaviour is not random. It emerges from six interacting elements: life narrative, senses and perception, the external world, your body, behaviour and your circle of love. Knowing each one gives you leverage.

Take control

Four dimensions of action

Take care of your body, redefine narratives, help and let yourself be helped, and create habits. This is where self-knowledge becomes change.

The six elements of the model

01

Life narrative

The story you tell yourself about who you are, where you come from and where you are going. It defines the reality you live.

02

Senses and perception

The mechanisms through which you perceive reality. Perception is a construction, not a copy of the world.

03

External world

Culture, education, beliefs and environment. The "external" is really an internal representation.

04

Your body

Your anatomy and physiology: the structure that sustains life and the stage for all your experience.

05

Behaviour

The observable expression of your decisions, emotions and actions. System 1 and System 2: conscious focus can adjust it.

06

Circle of love

The people around you, who affect you and are affected by your behaviour: those who "resonate" with you.

“The more you study yourself, the more you discover there is to study. That is not a failure — it is the sign that you are on the right path.”

— Propiology
