Personal data policy

1. Data controller

2. What we collect

When you sign up: email address, name (optional), preferred language, the profile you choose ("which best describes you?") and how you found Propiology. We also record the date and version of the authorisation you accepted and, if you arrived from a campaign, its parameters (utm).

We do not collect sensitive data or data about children. If you are under 18, please do not sign up.

3. What we use it for

To send you the Bitácora and any resources you request; to email you Propiology educational content; to understand in aggregate which content is useful to each profile; and, if books, workshops or courses become available in the future, to tell you about them. You can stop receiving emails at any time using the link in each one.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We use one provider that stores and processes it on our behalf: Amazon Web Services (hosting, database, and sending and receiving email). Its servers may be outside Colombia, including in the United States; by authorising the processing you also authorise this international transfer.

5. Your rights

You can access, update and correct your data; request proof of your authorisation; be told how we use it; withdraw your authorisation or ask us to delete it; lodge a complaint with Colombia's Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio; and access your data free of charge.

6. How to exercise them

Write to hello@propiology.org with your name, the email you signed up with and your request. We answer queries within ten (10) business days and complaints within fifteen (15) business days, as required by Colombian Law 1581 of 2012.

7. Retention and security

We keep your data while you are subscribed or until you ask us to delete it, unless a legal obligation requires us to keep it longer. We apply reasonable technical measures (encryption in transit and access control) to protect it.

8. Effective date and changes

This policy applies from the version date shown above. If it changes substantially, we will email you before the changes apply.
