How to work at this stage
What you are starting to see can close as quickly as it opened, especially when it is uncomfortable. The practice is to stay curious instead of rushing to conclusions.
- When you notice a strong reaction, ask: "What story am I telling myself about this situation?"
- Look up one mental bias you recognise in yourself and study it with curiosity.
- Next time you assume you know why someone did something, ask: "What else could explain it?"
- Pick a belief you hold strongly and ask: "Where did I learn this? Is it actually true?"
